I know I'm not the only one who has made a donation to some various cancer group, figuring that pediatric cancer research would be benefitted as a result. When I learned that only about 4% of federal government money spent on cancer research is spent on pediatric cancer research, it's safe to say I was very shocked. Not that I don't support breast cancer or lung cancer or any other sort of cancer, but these are not the cancer's that typically effect children, and therefore the breakthrough methods to treat adult cancers are ineffective in children, who suffer from leukemias and brain tumors and other types of cancer. This video brings to light the large number of children that die from cancer because most people are unaware that pediatric cancer recieves little funding from anywhere at all. I know it's a considerable amount of time but I promise the documentary will touch your heart. I know it reminded me how lucky I am to be healthy and to have loved ones that are healthy, too. It's a pretty great way to make the evils of Monday seem like no trouble at all.
